What is this activity?
Apply workshop learning to an authentic work artefact.
Preparation
Ask participants to bring a draft email, report, pitch or other work sample; prepare a simple rubric.
How to run it
- 1Review the artefact against the rubric.
- 2Identify three specific improvements.
- 3Rewrite or redesign the relevant section.
- 4Compare before and after with a peer.
- 5Commit to using the revised version.
Example in Action
Ask participants to bring something they've recently produced, such as an email, presentation, report or customer message. After learning a new technique, they identify three ways to improve their original work. They make the changes during the workshop and compare the before-and-after versions with a partner.
